Link

Occasionally called “hyperlinks” and "hotlinks,” links are the foundation of the World Wide Web. As new content is added to a Web site, it is gradually "attached" to the Web by other Web site owners who discover the content and link to it.

Tetons

.NET

A programming infrastructure created by Microsoft for applications and services that use .NET technologies including desktop applications and Web services (pronounced "dot-net").


Netscape

Netscape was the first important Web browser. Mortally wounded during a protracted battle with Microsoft, Netscape is now just barely kept alive by its new owner, AOL. But Firefox is a new, highly recommended browser in the Netscape tradition.


Online Marketing

There are various types of Internet marketing, including search engine optimization (S.E.O.), banner ads, e-mail campaigns, and other strategies designed to bring visitors to a Web site. “Traditional” marketing is increasingly coordinated with online marketing.


Operating System (or Platform)

A computer program that runs the computer and all its other programs. Windows XP and Mac OS X are operating systems.
