Clean and Simple Website Design for Businesses

The World Wide Web was announced in 1994, and research now shows that Internet users increasingly prefer websites that are clean and simple.

A "clean" business website is uncluttered and uncomplicated, with plenty of margin space to the left and right so that it's easy to read the text on a computer monitor.

"Simple" means that a website is easy to navigate, and requires no more button clicking than is strictly necessary.

Allied Internet will help you make intelligent Web design choices that are consistent with your goals, and that will make it easy for the search engines to send you people who are searching for the products and services you offer.

We will explain your options in everyday English, and our Web design team will work with you to make sure that your website presents your products and services in a way that will increase your sales and income.

Your Website Design Preferences and Expectations

When we think about the design of your new Web site, we will focus on the guidance you give us about:

  • your color, style, and look-and-feel preferences;
  • websites you like — and exactly what you like about them
  • websites you don’t like — and what you don’t like about them

We will be in contact with you during the design phase so that our design concept meets or exceeds your expectations.

The Graphic Design of Your Website

Widely accepted principles of design suggest that your Web design should be:

  • clean — successful Internet communication means that web site graphic design must be appropriate for a computer monitor: uncluttered and uncomplicated, with lots of background white space
  • targeted — designed to appeal to your audiences and to be easy for them to navigate
  • sophisticated — graphics are restrained and balanced, not visually overwhelming or “in your face”
  • distinctive — your web site’s design should use colors and images that are consistent with your branding and appealing to your target audiences; it should also clearly differentiate you from your competitors

The Website Design and Production Process

Allied Internet's orderly, efficient process means that if you're ready to go, you won't have to wait for weeks or even longer to get your new website:

  1. We will collaborate with you on content development and/or editing if requested.
  2. After we have all the content for your new website, we will create a design concept that will reflect any design preferences you may have indicated.
  3. After discussing the design concept with you, we will quickly revise and edit the design until you approve it, at which point we’re ready to produce the site.
  4. We will make a template from the approved design and use it to make the individual files for your website.
  5. We will create a CSS stylesheet that will govern multiple details on each page of your new website.
  6. We will format the content for each individual page on your website.
  7. During the week after your new website goes online, we will quickly make any minor adjustments to the content you request.

Allied Internet will be in contact with you during the production process so that you always know the status of your project. Smaller business websites typically take just a few days after we have all your content and you've approved a design concept. Larger-scope projects may take several weeks.
